BOULDER, Colo. - July 21, 2008 -- FreeWave Technologies, the largest independent provider of high performance spread spectrum and licensed radio products and services in the industry, today announced the release of developer kits for its MM2 TTL and the MM2-IP radios. The kits are designed to provide easy-to-use tools for assessing the radios and testing the capabilities by OEMs in the many industrial applications. Included in each kit are two fully tested radios, all required cabling, manuals and documentation, and an interface board that converts the radios' native TTL data port to a RS-232 mode for ease of programming and connection to a personal computer.

The Ethernet version in the developer kit also uses an interface board to provide access to the native port. In this case, the user access is through a standard RJ-45 connector.

"These kits are designed to make it simple and painless to assess and install MM2 radios," explained Colin Lippincott, FreeWave spokesperson. "We believe the kits will provide users with everything they need to ensure that their radios can be thoroughly tested and that they perform to the fullest potential."

The MM2 900 MHz Series is a mini radio that is fully compatible with FreeWave's 900 MHz serial and Ethernet radios such as the FGR and FGRplus.

Company makes foray into hospitality market by securing Sage Hospitality Resources and Vacation Resorts International

LOUISVILLE, CO - July 21, 2008 - EnvysionTM Inc., (www.envysion.com) the leading Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) provider, today announced it has expanded into the hospitality market through increasing utilization of Envysion Video, its Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) offering, by a growing number of hotels and resort properties, including Sage Hospitality Resources and Vacation Resorts International. Envysion Video is rapidly becoming a preferred technology for hotels and resort property managers who seek to improve their profitability and enhance their customer experience by providing remote access to on-site video that is tied to business applications, such as Point of Sale (POS) systems and security access.

Sage Hospitality Resources
As one of the leading hotel management and development companies in the United States, Sage Hospitality Resources is recognized as an innovative leader in the hospitality industry. Sage specializes in the management and development of premium-branded and independent hotels. Its focus is on creating value for hotel owners and investors through outstanding product development and superb asset management.

Each of Sage's locations has different needs and is able to leverage Envysion Video for their own specific purposes. Representative applications include keeping an eye on the front desk; monitoring parking lots; and, focusing on loss prevention at various hotel bar cash registers. For each location, Envysion enables the general manager of the property to monitor the site from anywhere on the Internet. According to Sally Brand, senior risk services administrator for Sage, the company has installed Envysion Video in nine of its properties, with five more on the near horizon. "Nothing gets built without Envysion now," she said.

Vacation Resorts International
Vacation Resorts International (VRI) is one of the nation's leading independent timeshare resort management firms. For more than two decades, VRI has provided professional management and marketing services to resorts, condominiums and timeshares throughout North America. Today, VRI is affiliated with more than 140 resort associations in 26 states, encompassing more than 300,000 intervals.

In early 2008, VRI selected Envysion Video as its preferred provider for its member properties. VRI chose the Envysion system because it is easy for board members to log in and see the status of several properties in a short amount of time. For example, they can assess maintenance and cleanliness of facilities by virtually visiting the properties online. Skier's Edge in Breckenridge, Colo. was the first of VRI's sites to launch Envysion Video. "We only had the system installed for a couple of months and caught two incidents on camera," explained Mathias Cox, regional director of Resorts for VRI. "It definitely provides peace of mind, being able to see what's going on even when you're not there."

"We are very pleased with the traction we've gained in the hospitality space and we expect to continue to see growth in this important segment going forward," noted Matt Steinfort, president and CEO of Envysion. "Working with customers like Sage and Vacation Resorts has demonstrated that Envysion serves an unmet need in the Hotel management domain."

About Envysion
Envysion is an award-winning innovator in web-based video management that is redefining video surveillance and providing demonstrable results for its customers. Envysion Video enables organizations to leverage remote video and provides operators insights to improve performance in every location, every day. The service goes beyond traditional security and loss prevention applications by integrating video with business tools such as Point of Sale (POS) systems. Operators benefit from easy-to-use remote viewing of live and recorded video from an unlimited number of locations, providing insight into operations, loss prevention, marketing effectiveness and customer behavior. The company is driving the development of Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS), which brings the Software as a Service (SaaS) model to the video surveillance market. Through the MVaaS platform, Envysion Video eliminates the complexity of managing a large scale video deployment and is constantly and seamlessly upgraded, allowing users to focus on their business. Target markets include restaurants, retail, hotels and financial services. The company was founded in 2006 and is based in Louisville, Colorado.

Restaurant entity with 120 locations sees strong potential ROI gains as it taps Envysion's Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) to leverage its existing video and POS systems

LOUISVILLE, Colo., July 21, 2008 -- EnvysionTM Inc., (www.envysion.com) the leading Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) provider, today announced it has begun rolling out a phased implementation of its Envysion Video MVaaS system for the Kurani Restaurant Group, one of the largest fast-food restaurant franchise owners in the Southeast. Envysion Video enables customers to improve their operations and profitability by easily accessing live or recorded video from any remote or on-premise location using a simple Web-browser interface. It integrates with critical business systems, such as Point of Sale and security access, and enables reporting and alerting across all of a company's locations.

With 120 locations throughout the Southeast, including 80 Pizza Hut franchises and several Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins stores, Kurani Global Restaurant Group generates almost $75 million in annual revenue through its multiple franchise locations. A large part of Kurani's award-winning success is its ability to hire and train good people as well as ensure its customer experience is always positive.

As Kurani's grew through its fast-paced success, it realized it needed a better way to easily manage its operations remotely as well as ensure the security of its operations against theft. It already had existing video surveillance systems in place at several locations, but, wanted a system that could do more than just monitor the premises. It wanted a video solution that also could easily integrate into its existing Point of Sale (POS) systems to reduce shrinkage, as well as leverage its best practices for employee training and operational improvement across all locations.

Coincidentally, that is when Business Information Technology (BIT), a partner of Envysion's, approached Kurani's and introduced it to Envysion Video. Kurani's liked what it saw. "After BIT contacted us and showed us what Envysion Video could do, we immediately realized how it could help us reduce shrinkage, improve brand consistency and increase our margins," said Sultan Kurani, owner of Kurani Restaurant Group.

"Even through the initial pilot program, we could immediately see how we could realize a strong ROI from the Envysion system. The reports make it simple and easy to spot discrepancies through its tightly linked POS integration," Kurani said. "Plus, now our area managers don't have to drive to every single location to see how their operations are performing. It saves them enormous time and fuel costs, which can be considerable in today's high-priced gas world."
The Envysion system currently is being rolled out to all the 120 locations and Kurani says he expects it to be fully completed by August of this year.
"We are realizing the benefit of tapping the Envysion system to glean and implement best practices among our employees across all locations. It helps improve our brand and, most importantly, the overall customer experience. That's really the bottom line for us."

Certification provides retailers, restaurants and hospitality establishments
with greater assurance against credit card security breaches

LOUISVILLE, Colo., July 21, 2008 -- EnvysionTM Inc., (www.envysion.com) the leading Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) provider, today announced it has passed its PCI-DSS certification audit, making it the only web-based video surveillance firm to meet new security guidelines aimed at reducing credit card fraud. Envysion Video helps retail, restaurant and hospitality customers improve their profitability and enhance their customer experience by providing remote access to in-store video that is tied to business applications, such as Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Being compliant with the PCI-DSS standard provides added protection for Envysion's customers against identity fraud by ensuring that all components of its MVaaS solution meet the industry's stringent security requirements. Many consumer-oriented companies are themselves rushing to become PCI certified to protect their customers' sensitive information and to avoid the severe fines and limitations that would otherwise be placed on their businesses. PCI DSS was developed by credit card companies to help businesses that process card payments prevent fraud and other security threats.

"There's a good reason why retailers and restaurant owners are taking this very seriously; any company that processes, stores or transmits payment card data must comply with the PCI-DSS requirements or they risk losing their ability to process credit payments," explains Robert Hagens, CTO of Envysion. "Furthermore, they could be audited and/or fined. The consequences aren't trivial, and could easily put a small retail owner out of business if a breach occurs and they are not compliant."

"Just six months ago, if you had asked most operators and video providers if video services needed to be PCI compliant, most of the responses would have been 'no,'" said Matt Steinfort, CEO of Envysion. "What the industry has discovered, however, is that any service, such asremote video, that has direct access to a customer's PCI compliant network must also be PCI compliant or it puts the customer's own PCI compliance at risk. We are proud and excited that Envysion continues to drive the industry forward and has developed the first and only PCI compliant managed video service."

According to a recent online survey conducted by Merchant Link LLC, a subsidiary of Chase Paymentech, the security of credit card data ranks at the top of all credit card-transaction concerns for technology executives of the nation's restaurants, and 68 percent of them say worries about credit card data's security are deepening. Fewer than half of attendees at the recent Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference in Las Vegas said their restaurants comply with PCI DSS (48 percent), while 39 percent said they were "well on their way" to complying.
"We have worked aggressively to ensure that all facets of Envysion Video fully comply with the PCI-DSS standards. Our strong telecom heritage and our unique MVaaS architecture enable us to meet these requirements and to provide the highest level of security for our customers," Hagens said. "Our customers have the peace of mind knowing that their managed video services meet these stringent guidelines and that they can pass that confidence on to their customers."

Envysion performed a Level 1 DSS audit which contained more than 260 specific requirements. According to Hagens, the following are examples of the requirements Envysion has met with its MVaaS system:

Ensure that the hardware elements of the service are secure and protected from hackers and other intrusion attempts.

Implement strong access control measures which limit access to computing resources on a "need to know" only basis.

Regularly monitor and test systems and processes to ensure the service and DVRs are secure.

Follow strict procedures for building, testing and deploying systems with appropriate firewalls.

Follow a strong information security policy, including training employees in security awareness and testing incident response plans.

Compliance with the full PCI DSS standard, which is becoming an absolute requirement for video providers, provides customers with confidence and further differentiates Envysion Video from its competitors.

Newest additions to Envysion Video make it even easier for businesses to harness the power of video on the web for operational improvement

LOUISVILLE, Colo., July 21, 2008 -- EnvysionTM Inc., (www.envysion.com) the leading Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) provider, is redefining video surveillance, giving operators the insights to improve business performance in every location, every day. Retail and restaurant chains, hotels and financial services businesses are leveraging Envysion Video to materially improve their operations (see today's other news releases: PCI Compliance; Delivers MVaaS to Hotels; Kurani's). Matt Steinfort, CEO of Envysion said, "Our focus continues to be on creating value for our customers by enabling them to easily manage and use video to improve their profitability. With our Software as a Service-based architecture, we are uniquely positioned to adapt to customer requirements and continually innovate. Our most recently released capabilities are powerful examples of how customer feedback can be quickly incorporated to increase the impact we can have on their businesses."
Envysion Video, the company's Managed Video as a Service (MVaaS) offering is quickly establishing itself as an industry-changing platform. MVaaS is based on the Software as a Service (SaaS) model of software deployment, where software is hosted as a service provided to customers across the Internet. Like other SaaS applications, MVaaS eliminates software upgrade and version control challenges while protecting customers against technology obsolescence.
As a new category of video services, Steinfort says MVaaS solutions vary from traditional video systems in a number of ways:

Entirely web-based user interface provides easy access to video in any location from anywhere in the world.

SaaS model eliminates much of the networking complexity and IT requirements at each remote location.

Customers benefit from improvements in technology and capabilities without having to manage upgrades or version control.

Centralization of user and recorder management allows administrators to easily manage access for many users across a large number of locations.

Real-time monitoring of all devices (recorders and cameras) ensures customers' systems are fully operational.

MVaaS' architecture provides strong network security and adherence to industry requirements, such as PCI Compliance, and ensures customers aren't exposing themselves to new risks. "Envysion Video addresses the scaling challenges of managing distributed video systems across multiple locations. It enables a wide group of people to leverage video in a large number of locations without taxing companies' networks or their IT organizations and without jeopardizing their security," Steinfort explains.

The new features that Envysion announced today further enhance its industry leading position in MVaaS and provide even more powerful tools for customers to use to improve their profitability. New features include:

Event search and filtering allows users to view and manipulate Point of Sale (POS) and other event data with spreadsheet-like functionality. Users can easily sort and filter large amounts of data to quickly find the video for the events that are most critical to their business.

Advanced reporting and alerting capabilities enable operators to use data and business rules to drive attention to their most important store sets. Users can create a single report with alerts in seconds that will monitor hundreds of locations and automatically notify them when a business rule is triggered, so they can quickly and easily view video of the event in question.

Video collaboration allows businesses to centrally archive video clips into a secure and private managed video library for sharing best practices, creating training video from real footage, or case tracking and management. Users eliminate the need to download, manage and email large video files - instead of sending links to annotated video for training or investigative purposes.

Multi-channel audio support adds a powerful new tool for customers, providing full insights into events with both visual and audible context. Currently in beta and available to customers on a limited trial basis, this feature allows users to listen to audio associated with the video from any camera on their Envysion system.

Steinfort says early customer feedback has been extremely positive. "We have been using Envysion Video within our restaurants since it was first released," said Ryan Elmore, owner of multiple Rosati's Pizza franchises. "It allows me to conduct unannounced and undetected time-shifted store visits when I otherwise wouldn't be able to because of the time it takes to physically drive to each location, saving me time and fuel costs. Envysion is constantly improving and adding new features to their service, and with their managed video model, I receive all of their upgrades and new features automatically, without having to download patches or learn new systems."

BELLEVUE, Wash., July 16, 2008 - Danube Technologies, Inc., (www.danube.com) the leader in software and training for the Scrum method of agile software development, today announced that Jim Schiel has joined the company as a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST). The addition of Schiel brings the number of Danube CSTs to five, out of a select group of just 54 worldwide, helping to meet growing demand for training by large enterprise customers as they standardize agile development practices using the Scrum method.

"Large organizations are moving from pilot agile projects to enterprise-wide deployments and using Scrum to scale these initiatives in a cohesive manner that will yield value to both developer and business stakeholders," said Katie Playfair, director of client services for Danube. "Having Jim join our ScrumCORETM team is of tremendous value to our customers, based on his experience building one of the largest and most successful enterprise Scrum installations in the world. While some people talk about enterprise Scrum, Jim has been doing it for years."

Schiel joins Danube after 22 years with Siemens, where he worked initially as a developer, then as a manager for 16 years, eventually playing an instrumental role in creating one of the largest Scrum installations in the world. As a business process engineer at Siemens, he helped identify, document, and implement best practices for enterprise Scrum. As a result, he witnessed Scrum organically spread throughout the organization to include 97 Scrum teams across five projects, working from distributed sites around the world, in the last four years.

Danube and its ScrumCORETM training team, which consists of five CSTs, lead the industry in Scrum training and coaching. ScrumCORE training is delivered by respected industry thought leaders with deep, hands-on experience guiding organizations through Scrum transformations. Its course offerings include: Certified ScrumMaster Courses; Introduction to Agile and Scrum Courses; Certified and Uncertified Product Owner Courses; and ScrumWorks Implementation and Use Courses. In addition to North America, Danube training services are offered throughout Europe and Asia.

"I love the challenge of sitting down with a team, working together to solve problems, and seeing the results," Schiel says. "Given my passion for coaching and training, I'm very excited to help organizations scale Scrum programs and to share the experiences I gained within a very large enterprise software development environment."

About Danube Technologies
Founded in 2000, Danube provides software and training exclusively focused on the Scrum method of agile software development. The company's ScrumWorks® Pro and ScrumWorks Basic products are licensed to more than 85,000 software professionals worldwide, making it the most widely used software in the industry for managing Scrum projects. Danube complements its software offering with a comprehensive schedule of ScrumCORETM training courses, which are taught globally by Danube's five Certified Scrum Trainers. The company's on-site software delivery model makes it the leading choice for enterprises of all types, including large corporate and government organizations, which require the utmost in security, compliance, ease-of-use and customization. Danube's customers include Adobe, Amazon.com, AMD, F5, General Electric, HP, Intel, Intuit, Kofax, LexisNexis, Microsoft, Motorola, Oracle, QVC, Siemens, and Sun Microsystems.

Early commitment bodes well for Danube as leading software organizations adopt Scrum in increasingly large numbers

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 30, 2008 - Danube Technologies, Inc., (http://www.danube.com/) the leader in software and training for the Scrum method of agile software development, has seen its 100 percent commitment to Scrum result in increasingly strong demand for its ScrumCORETM training services and industry-leading ScrumWorks® software as large, enterprise software organizations turn to Scrum to manage projects across multiple teams and geographies.

In the last year, Danube has witnessed demand for its training and software rise dramatically. The company has increased its training schedule to include more than 100 courses per year that are conducted globally, and has added additional training staff to meet growing demand. Currently, there are 85,000 licensed ScrumWorks users, while active user registrations of the ScrumWorks Basic tool have averaged more than 4,000 per month in 2008. In addition, Danube recently has closed several large enterprise-level ScrumWorks Pro deals, the latest of which includes a company-wide deployment consisting of more than 2,000 developers and stakeholders at one of the largest technology companies in Europe.

"It's clear that Scrum has emerged as the agile development method of choice for the enterprise - because of its inherent ability to bring various stakeholders together in a truly collaborative way that is both developer- and business-friendly," said Laszlo Szalvay, president of Danube. "Danube's mission is simple: To foster success for Scrum teams, whether through training and coaching or ScrumWorks."

Since 2003, when company founders Laszlo and Victor Szalvay first embraced Scrum for the company's own development processes, Danube has remained steadfast in its commitment to the software development method. The company offered ScrumWorks Basic as a free downloadable, Scrum-based agile development tool for the masses in January 2005 - and saw its success as an early industry pioneer and evangelist grow quickly. Twenty-five thousand registered active users later, the company launched its first commercial offering (ScrumWorks Pro), which rapidly caught fire among developers, team managers and C-level executives alike for its high quality, ease-of-use and lightweight Web client. Based on the ScrumWorks Basic tool, ScrumWorks Pro was designed to satisfy the disparate and often complex needs of organizations, from small businesses to Fortune 100 enterprises. The latest release, ScrumWorks Pro 3.1 (see today's release "Danube Technologies Launches New Version of ScrumWorks Pro") reflects this approach and delivers rich functionality to drive business value while remaining faithful to the Scrum paradigm.

Why Scrum?

Scrum has emerged as the most successful agile development process for organizations, developers and executives alike. Scrum's growing popularity can be attributed to its ability to boost ROI for businesses and bring developers and executives together to align business goals. Scrum is easy to understand and deploy; training is readily available; and it provides the flexible framework large teams need to stay focused as they pursue sprint goals as a team.

"The Scrum framework helps teams become extremely productive. It engages developers to produce the major pieces of an application in a fraction of the time consumed by traditional methods," said Jim Cundiff, managing director of the Scrum Alliance, Inc. "Scrum also makes defects immediately visible to the team," added Cundiff. "To put it simply - Scrum improves efficiency and helps organizations get things done."

You Are The Company You Keep

Danube works with organizations of all types and sizes - from small teams getting started with the free ScrumWorks Basic tool to huge, global organizations that are standardizing to Scrum with group workshops and ScrumWorks Pro deployments. At last count, 54 of the Fortune 100 companies possess licenses for ScrumWorks. Because of its intuitive nature, ease-of-use and on-site deployment model, Danube is the preferred partner for large business and government enterprises that require the privacy, security, compliance capabilities and customization (requirements of most large Fortune 1000 companies) that are worrisome with on-demand, SaaS offerings.

About Danube Technologies

Founded in 2000, Danube provides software and training exclusively focused on the Scrum method of agile software development. The company's ScrumWorksPro and ScrumWorks Basic products are licensed to more than 85,000 software professionals worldwide, making it the most widely used software in the industry for managing Scrum projects. Danube complements its software offering with a comprehensive schedule of ScrumCORE training courses, which are taught globally by Danube's five Certified Scrum Trainers. Danube is self-funded and has achieved steady organic growth as Scrum has emerged as the preferred agile method for developers and executives. The company is headquartered in Bellevue, Wash. and has a sales office in Portland, Ore.

New features provide improved reporting and collaboration
for managing the Scrum method of agile software development

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 30, 2008 - Danube Technologies, Inc., (www.danube.com) the leader in software and training for the Scrum method of agile software development, today announced ScrumWorks® Pro 3.1, the only software tool designed exclusively to reinforce the principles and processes of Scrum. New features of this release include improved collaboration and enterprise reporting capabilities within the desktop client and enhanced customized visibility via the Web client.

"With the 3.1 release, we continue our legacy of delivering on high priority customer requests that make ScrumWorks Pro intuitive, powerful, and directly aligned with how people and organizations are using Scrum in the real world," said Victor Szalvay, Danube co-founder and the product owner for ScrumWorks Pro. "The community embraces ScrumWorks because it does what they need it to do - provide an easy-to-use framework for adopting, adhering to and scaling Scrum methods within high performance environments, especially enterprises that need to scale across multiple teams and geographies."

New features in ScrumWorks Pro 3.1 include:

ScrumWorks Pro Desktop Client
- Attachments: Users now have the ability to attach documents and files to items in ScrumWorks. Users also can receive email notifications of changes to any backlog items and tasks.

Change Log: This new feature captures a record of all changes made in ScrumWorks Pro for tracking and auditing purposes.

Notification of Events: This feature allows users to subscribe to email notifications of important events, like status changes and edits.

Team Member Load Report: Users now can view task loading among team members within the sprint detail view.

Custom sprint Calendars: This feature allows holidays and weekends to be excluded from Sprint burn-down charts to better gauge accurate software delivery dates.

ScrumWorks Pro Web Client
- New "My Tasks" View: Now users can view a concise, personalized list of an individual's tasks across all teams, sprints and products in the Web client.

Taskboard Highlighting: This feature allows any task to be highlighted based on the point person designation.

"Danube continues to add extremely useful features that are based on end-user needs and the intuitive nature with which we use the product on a daily basis," said Basab Dattaray, development manager, Turbo Tax Win & Mac at Intuit. "All of the features added to this latest release relate directly to streamlining Scrum processes within our organization and, by extension, boosting productivity and making Scrum more useful, powerful, and standardized as we expand our initiatives across our organization to additional teams and stakeholders."

Unique in its ability to resist bloated and unnecessary "feature creep," ScrumWorks Pro was developed based on ScrumWorks Basic, the free downloadable software tool designed exclusively to manage Scrum, which Danube released in January 2005. Danube's team of developers work closely with customers and Scrum thought leaders to refine and improve its software without compromising the spirit and value of Scrum.

Pricing and Availability
ScrumWorks Pro 3.1 will be available July 18 and can be purchased directly from Danube. Pricing is offered through an on-site, per-seat license that starts at $289-per-user, per-year, or less than $25 per-user, per-month. For more information on ScrumWorks Pro, visit www.danube.com/scrumworks/pro. Danube's ScrumWorks Basic is available for free download at www.danube.com/scrumworks/basic/download.
