Many Smart Grid utility operators are finding the need for newer, more efficient forms of communication to effectively deploy distribution automation. There are, of course, a variety of options for implementing communications and some emerging solutions as well, such as recently available wireless data radios. This presentation will highlight real-life, case study examples of wireless technology installations for distribution automation that can save time, money and increase efficiency of system management while meeting a “best fit” requirement to the objectives of the organization. Attendees will learn about the different solutions available for critical data monitoring and discover the advantages of using wireless communication systems.
Lippincott will be one of three speakers during this presentation time slot. Each speaker will present for 20 minutes, reserving 15 minutes after the final presenter for Q&A with the audience.
