WHAT: Technical Session: “What’s In Your Radio Communication Tackle Box?”

Numerous communication technologies have been introduced into the irrigation and water management market over the years all claiming to be the best and most reliable communication tool. Radios have become faster, smarter and easier than ever to program and upgrade firmware. The biggest advancements are happening on the IO side of the pond. More options and frequencies can be used today than ever before. Some of those trends are 2.4 GHz for short range IO and 900MHz for long range or for those networks that might only have a couple of sites that require IO.

This presentation will review what tools attendees should have in their communication tackle box and how they can make managing their radio communications network easier with more information at their disposal. Tips will be shared for determining what is best for each situation as well as how to plan for organizations’changing needs.
