JNBRIDGE ANNOUNCES LATEST RELEASE OF JMS ADAPTERS FOR .NET AND BIZTALK SERVERS

Version 3.0 of the JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server adds support for JMS Map Messages

BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 7, 2011 — JNBridge, (www.jnbridge.com), the award-winning provider of interoperability tools that connects the Java and .NET Frameworks, today announced the release of Version 3.0 of its JMS Adapters, which enables developers to access JMS (Java Messaging Service) directly from BizTalk Server or from their .NET-based applications. The JNBridge JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server V3.0 adds support for JMS Map Messages, automatically converting received map messages to XML documents based on user provided schemas. The JNBridge JMS Adapter for .NET adds full support for Visual Studio 2010 and Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Line-of-Business (LOB) SDK. Both adapters also have expanded licensing options, including support for virtual machines and annual licensing.

“The new map messages interface especially is timely for our organization as it is vital in our environment to ensure we can seamlessly integrate our enterprise service bus and our existing application assets,” said Richard Townsend, director of information systems at Farm Bureau Financial Services. “JNBridge’s adapters filled the void our enterprise had when we were looking to access JMS directly from BizTalk Server,” said Townsend.

The JNBridge JMS Adapters enable enterprises to integrate any existing JMS (Java Message Service) infrastructure with BizTalk Server or with Microsoft .NET Framework-based desktop applications, server solutions and cloud deployments.

With the adapters, customers are able to quickly configure transports and integrate applications, simplifying the complexity and therefore allowing development teams to reduce risk and focus on automating other businesses processes.

“This latest release of the adapters is another step forward in our vision of interoperability, allowing users to deploy interoperable solutions anywhere,” said Wayne Citrin, CTO of JNBridge. “The latest version of each adapter allows enterprises to purchase and deploy according to their business needs: from conventional perpetual machine-based licensing to annual licenses on virtual machines, or even to instances in the cloud.”

JNBRIDGE ANNOUNCES NEW RELEASE OF JMS ADAPTER FOR .NET

Version 1.2 of the JMS Adapter for .NET supports distributed transactions with full rollback capability

BOULDER, Colo., June 1, 2009 (JavaOne Booth #208) – JNBridge, (www.jnbridge.com), the award-winning provider of Java and .NET interoperability tools, today announced the release of version 1.2 of its JMS Adapter for .NET. The adapter provides a single-step integration between JMS (Java Messaging Service) capabilities and .NET Framework-based applications. This new version adds interoperability between .NET distributed transactions and local JMS transactions, thereby allowing JMS to fully participate in .NET transactions.

“We use JNBridge’s core product, JNBridgePro, to rapidly integrate our .NET-based Enterprise Service Bus with our JMS broker,” said Don Taylor, CTO for Benefitfocus. “The ability to combine .NET and JMS transactions will allow us to extend our use of JNBridge interoperability technology to additional business-critical applications where preserving the integrity of data is paramount.”

The JNBridge JMS Adapter for .NET integrates any vendor’s JMS implementation directly with a .NET Framework-based application. Customers can quickly and easily create custom .NET applications that send messages to, and receive messages from, an existing JMS infrastructure. In the new version of the adapter, if a .NET-side operation fails inside a transaction, and the transaction must be rolled back, JMS messages that are consumed as part of the transaction will be placed back on the JMS queue, ensuring that no data is lost. When the .NET side resumes its activity, the messages are still on the JMS queue, and will be read when the .NET operations resume.

“JNBridge’s technologies provide seamless integration between both the Java and .NET frameworks, which allows our organization to meet customer demand regardless of platform,” said Michael Petersen, President at TechPath, a systems integration company. “We’ve successfully and easily integrated Microsoft’s products with our customers’ existing JMS systems, including enterprise systems that require 99.999 percent uptime. This new ability to support distributed transactions across platforms will be crucial for certain architectures in financial services and other transaction processing systems.”

“Transactions are critical to many applications, especially in financial services,” said Wayne Citrin, CTO of JNBridge. “A transaction needs to succeed or fail in its entirety, especially where money is involved. Current solutions that support distributed transactions do not guarantee their success across platforms. With version 1.2 of the adapter, this process is completely transparent for the user, and works regardless of the JMS vendor.”

“With the increased adoption of financial systems that integrate both .NET and JEE technologies, true cross-platform transactions are a necessity that current web service-based interoperability standards fail to adequately meet,” said Mark Driver vice president of research at Gartner. “Bridging technologies offer an alternative that is both fine-grained and tightly coupled-a fundamental requirement of any robust transaction processing implementation.”

JNBRIDGE CTO TO SHARE INSIGHTS ON JMS PLATFORMS AT IASA CONNECTIONS SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE CONFERENCE

Company executive to share insights on Java and .NET interoperability

Who:  Wayne Citrin
  CTO
JNBridge
www.jnbridge.com

Wayne Citrin is Chief Technology Officer at JNBridge, the leading provider of Java and .NET interoperability tools. Citrin co-founded the company in 2001 and has served as the chief architect of its flagship product, JNBridgePro. He has been involved in Java and .NET interop issues since .NET’s earliest days and is an expert on interoperability issues regarding connecting the two development platforms. Previously, he was a leading researcher in programming languages and compilers at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Prior to this position, he was a researcher at IBM’s lab in Zürich, Switzerland. Citrin holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in Computer Science. He has presented at several leading conferences including, JavaOne, Microsoft TechEd and TechReady. In addition, his work and research has been published in numerous academic and trade journals.

What: Enterprise architectures based exclusively on Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) technology have long relied on Java Message Service (JMS) as the communications “glue” that holds together the disparate components. But, as other non-JEE technologies like .NET are added to the mix, how can these new components communicate with the existing infrastructure? This session will discuss how JMS can continue to be used as a messaging infrastructure even when components are based on platforms other than JEE. Citrin will lead participants with a brief discussion of JMS fundamentals, followed by an explanation on the use of JMS over Web services, and of various cross-platform approaches using native JMS wire protocols. The advantages and disadvantages of each approach will be discussed, and guidelines and best practices will be presented. Each approach discussed will be accompanied by a demo.

Where: IASA Connections
 San Francisco Marriott

When: Using Java Message Service as the “Glue” in Heterogeneous Enterprise Architectures
