JNBRIDGE CELEBRATES TEN YEARS OF JAVA & .NET INTEROPERABILITY

Company to commemorate milestone with year-long series of events and activities

BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 31, 2012 — JNBridge, (www.jnbridge.com), a leading provider of interoperability tools that connect the Java and .NET Frameworks, today announced the 10-year anniversary of the company. Since 2002, JNBridge has grown from a start-up providing support for accessing Java classes from .NET to an award-winning interoperability tool provider for customers ranging in size from small independent software vendors to large global enterprises. JNBridge boasts some of the world’s foremost companies as customers: including financial services, insurance, telecom, media, government, healthcare and manufacturing industries. To celebrate the company’s 10-year milestone it will be looking both backwards and forwards: showcasing some of its current customer applications and inviting the developer community to create and share new use cases that incorporate new technologies, both in the cloud and on the ground.

“The past 10 years have been an incredible journey for our company and customers,” said Wayne Citrin, CTO of JNBridge. “The interest and demand for our Java .NET interoperability solutions continues to increase, and we’re continually amazed by the breadth of applications our customers incorporate our tools into. As we look ahead, we will continue to explore and provide technologies that address the evolving needs of developers in emerging industries.”

Citrin co-founded the company in 2001 along with partner and COO Deborah Arhelger, back when .NET was still in beta. The company has achieved year-over-year growth without any outside investors. JNBridge’s focus on providing rich, high performance, and simple-to-use interoperability tools has earned the company industry recognition and helped to build an impressive list of clients, including Adobe, Pfizer, Barclays, HBO, Boeing and GE.

JNBridge’s interoperability adapters and software have received numerous accolades over the years, including being cited as a Gartner Cool Vendor, Reader’s Choice Award from Visual Studio Magazine, and Best of Tech-Ed finalist.

“Microsoft values the relationships it has cultivated throughout the years with partners like JNBridge,” said Tom Lindeman, Director of the Visual Studio Industry Partner program at Microsoft. “The technology of connecting .NET to other platforms allows us to extend our reach and remove the complexities of cross-platform interoperability.”

TASKTOP’S MIK KERSTEN TO SHARE LESSONS LEARNED FROM LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN OPEN SOURCE ALM AT MICROSOFT ALM SUMMIT

Kersten to outline why ALM architectures must be untangled and legacy systems connected for modernization in ALM to occur

WHO: Mik Kersten – CEO and founder of Tasktop Technologies (www.tasktop.com)

Kersten is the creator of the Eclipse Mylyn open source project and inventor of the task-focused interface. At Tasktop he provides the technical vision behind Tasktop Dev for developer productivity and tool integration and Tasktop Sync for enterprise ALM synchronization.

WHAT: “ALM in the Jungle”

Tue., Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. Pacific

Over the past decade, many ALM stacks have shifted from vertically integrated silos to tangled and disconnected systems reminiscent of the London tube map. Layer upon layer of legacy, piecemeal Agile deployments and open source tools have brought traceability to a halt, forcing us into overloaded email inboxes and lengthy meetings for tracking delivery. The path forward is to either standardize the entire ALM stack, or to embrace heterogeneity. Either way, the ALM architecture must be untangled and the legacy connected for the modernization to happen. For inspiration, we can look to how ALM strategies have formed bottom-up in the very heterogeneous jungle of open source projects. Open source ALM combines distributed teams, heterogeneous stacks, resource constraints, massive amounts of stakeholder input, and an overload of cross-project dependencies. Despite these challenges, the velocity of many popular open source projects is measurably higher than that of their enterprise counterparts. In this talk, we will examine the key lessons learned from the latest developments in open source ALM, and examine how to apply the practices, ALM architecture patterns and strategies for embracing heterogeneity in order to help pave a path for your Agile and ALM modernization efforts.

WHERE: Microsoft ALM Summit (http://www.alm-summit.com/home.aspx) Microsoft Campus Redmond, WA

TASKTOP TECHNOLOGIES AND MICROSOFT TO DEMO TASKTOP FOR VISUAL STUDIO AT CEBIT 2011 CONFERENCE

TASKTOP TECHNOLOGIES AND MICROSOFT TO DEMO TASKTOP FOR VISUAL STUDIO AT CEBIT 2011 CONFERENCE

Latest version of Tasktop for Visual Studio available as Public Beta for .NET developer community

HANOVER, Germany – March 1, 2011 – Tasktop Technologies (www.tasktop.com), creators of the Eclipse Mylyn project and a leader in Agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) integration and productivity, and Microsoft (www.microsoft.com) are jointly demonstrating the latest version of the Tasktop for Visual Studio plug-in at the CeBIT 2011 conference in Hanover. Set for general availability in Q2 of this year and now available for public beta, the new product brings Tasktop’s task management system and ALM integration and interface to Visual Studio users. Tasktop for Visual Studio integrates the Mylyn framework into the Visual Studio IDE and provides access to the wide range of Tasktop Certified task, change and Agile project management solutions.

“The proliferation of Agile, task and change management tools has meant that Visual Studio developers spend an inordinate amount of time switching between browser-based applications and their IDE,” said Mik Kersten, CEO of Tasktop Technologies and creator of the open source Eclipse Mylyn project. “At today’s CeBIT conference we will be showcasing the latest Tasktop for Visual Studio, recently hardened by a private beta, to bring even more of the benefits of Eclipse Mylyn’s task management facilities to Visual Studio developers.”

With Tasktop for Visual Studio, development teams using Visual Studio gain access to the broad range of Mylyn integrations that are available.  The public beta includes support for HP Quality Center, HP ALM, IBM Rational ClearQuest, Mozilla Bugzilla and Accept 360. Support will be extended to the full list of Tasktop Certified Connectors when Tasktop for Visual Studio becomes generally available next quarter. This release also builds on Tasktop’s recently announced support for Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server and long-term partnership with Microsoft’s Interoperability Group.  Tasktop is a Visual Studio Premium Partner.

“We are excited about our relationship with Tasktop and are looking forward to demonstrating this significant new add-on to Visual Studio at CeBIT,” said Steffen Ritter, product marketing manager for Visual Studio and MSDN subscriptions at Microsoft Germany. “Now with Tasktop, Eclipse Mylyn users can benefit from the advantages of Team Foundation Server. We want to support every developer to do the best job possible. Though programming environments are heterogeneous, data storage needs to be homogeneous. With Team Foundation Server, users benefit from a great ALM platform.”

By providing traceability and knowledge sharing between a wide variety of tools and platforms, Tasktop helps reduce the complexity and challenges of successfully scaling Agile programs beyond small teams. Organizations using Tasktop are able to integrate and gain added value from heterogeneous systems, improve the happiness and productivity of development teams, and integrate and manage emerging technology platforms, such as cloud computing and mobile applications, into existing development practices.  By adding support for Visual Studio, Tasktop is further addressing the disparate needs of its customer base which not only works with a wide variety of ALM components but also works with a range of technology platforms.

JNBRIDGE ANNOUNCES NEW VERSION OF JMS ADAPTER FOR BIZTALK SERVER AT THE 2008 MICROSOFT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE

Latest release adds support for transactions and 64-bit platforms

BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 27, 2008 (Microsoft PDC Conference Booth # 1211)-JNBridge, a provider of Java and .NET Framework interoperability tools, announced today a new version of its JNBridge JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server at the Microsoft Professional Developer’s Conference (PDC). The JNBridge JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server enables enterprises to quickly and easily integrate BizTalk Servers into any existing JMS (Java Messaging Service) infrastructure, allowing messages to be passed seamlessly between systems in a heterogeneous environment. The latest version of the adapter adds support for transactions and 64-bit platforms.

The JNBridge JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server provides enterprises with a fast and easy way to connect JMS capabilities with Microsoft’s BizTalk Server 2006 or BizTalk Server 2006 R2.The adapter uses a simple interface that hides the complexities of building a JMS client, requires no changes to existing JMS enterprise servers, and is compatible with any vendor’s JMS server.
The adapter utilizes the technologies in JNBridgePro, JNBridge’s flagship Java and .NET Framework interoperability product.

“Transactions are necessary for reliable business applications,” explained Wayne Citrin, CTO of JNBridge. “Without JMS transactions, if a BizTalk Server orchestration detects a problem during document processing, the incoming messages are lost. The messages may represent financial transactions – so losing them means money. With transactions, the messages are pushed back into the queue, so that when the problem is fixed, those messages can then be processed correctly, and not become lost.”

In addition, JNBridge will be releasing a new version of its JMS Adapter for .NET Framework, also with support for transactions and 64-bit platforms.

Both adapters are available immediately and full-featured evaluation copies can be downloaded by visiting www.jnbridge.com. The new versions will be released in early November.

JNBridge Releases Two New JMS Adapters for Microsoft .NET Framework and Biztalk Server

New adapters allow developers to quickly and easily integrate a JMS infrastructure with any .NET Framework application or BizTalk Server

BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 30, 2007 – JNBridge, LLC today announced the release of two new first-to-market JMS adapters: The JNBridge JMS Adapter for .NET and the JNBridge JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server. The new adapters provide a streamlined and automated method to connect JMS (Java Messaging Service) capabilities to Microsoft .NET Framework applications and BizTalk Server to accelerate the delivery of new software products and services to the enterprise.

“As customers use the .NET Framework and BizTalk Server as a foundation for their enterprise information systems, interoperability is a key requirement,” explained Dino Chiesa, Director of Marketing for the .NET Platform at Microsoft. “These new JMS adapters from JNBridge allow customers that already have Java-based messaging systems to connect to those systems from .NET and BizTalk programs. Interoperability between .NET or BizTalk applications and JMS systems just got a whole lot easier.”

The JNBridge JMS Adapter for .NET integrates any vendor’s JMS implementation directly with a .NET Framework application. This adapter is the first commercially-available JMS adapter that relies on Microsoft’s new WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) Line-of-Business adapter technology, allowing it to work with any custom .NET Framework application or any Microsoft program that can consume a WCF endpoint.

The JNBridge JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server provides enterprises with a fast and easy way to connect JMS capabilities with Microsoft’s BizTalk Server 2006 or its newly released BizTalk Server 2006 R2.

Both the JNBridge JMS Adapter for .NET and the JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server use a simple interface that hides the complexities of building a JMS client. The JMS adapters require no changes to existing JMS enterprise servers and are compatible with any vendor’s JMS server. Both adapters utilize the technologies in JNBridgePro, JNBridge’s flagship Java and .NET interoperability product. The BizTalk adapter supports .NET Framework 2.0 and above, the .NET adapter supports .NET 3.0, and in the future JNBridge plans to support .NET 3.5.

“For years, our JNBridgePro customers have asked for an easy way to allow .NET Framework or BizTalk Server applications to send and receive messages from JMS servers,” explained Wayne Citrin, CTO at JNBridge. “Now, with our new JMS adapters for the .NET Framework and BizTalk Server, they have a streamlined and automatic way to ensure complete and immediate interoperability. Users don’t need to have detailed knowledge of both JMS programming and adapter construction to use the JMS Adapter for .NET or the JMS Adapter for BizTalk Server. We have fully automated the process for them in one single step.”

Both adapters are available immediately and full-featured evaluation copies can be downloaded by visiting www.jnbridge.com
